Ed’s Real Scoop, Dream Worthy Ice-Cream

After months of beautiful summer weather, it’s coming to an end. Just saying that makes me long for warm summer days, instead we will soon freeze our baguettes off. This doesn’t mean you can’t still enjoy a great bowl of ice-cream on these few hot days we have left. But after we tell you about this great ice-cream parlour on Roncesvalles Avenue, we can guarantee you’ll be coming back well through the winter.

Last week a friend of mine grabbed her camera and joined me while we spent the day in Toronto doing some urban photography. At the end of the day, we thought of just grabbing a snack to eat before leaving but then she suggested an ice-cream place that she actually dreams about.

At first I thought it was an exaggeration, but after we arrived at the parlour I could see why she would be dreaming about it.

First of all, this place has a massive range of flavours and not just your run-of-the-mill ones.

Spending nearly ten minutes looking at the board, I finally chose my flavours: burnt marshmallow and chocolate peanut butter fudge.

That’s right, burnt marshmallow is a thing. A very, very delicious thing especially when you combine it with the peanut butter ice-cream which had giant chunks of peanut butter in them. It’s not just the incredible flavours that hooks you, it’s the fact that the ice-cream has such a rich flavour without being too sweet which is a hard balance to find. It was delicious and we didn’t even go for the optional cone types or various toppings they had to offer.

What makes the whole experience so much better is the passion that’s gone into this place. The furnishing and design that went into this place is a great reflection of that.

They also have a wide range of gelato’s, milkshakes, take home containers and small snacks. All of which I regret not buying.

If you’re within a ten mile radius of this place, definitely stop by and try something, anything there. I’m pretty sure I’ll make the trek all the way from Mississauga just for this place. Luckily for anyone in the city who want’s to grab some ice-cream, they also have locations near the Beaches and Leslieville.

For more on their products, check them out on their website.

Also, some of these pictures are not mine! They’re by my very talented friend who suggested this parlour to me in the first place and helped me take some of these great shots. Check out her incredible photography on her site, Kordic Photography.
